The Making Music East Midlands website has been designed to allow the user to modify its appearance if they have difficulty reading the text.

It has also been coded to comply with the W3C Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) guidelines, it is compatible with screen readers and other types of assistive technologies. We are always working to ensure the site is as accessible as possible.

General layout and navigation

  • Many links have title attributes which describe the link in greater detail, unless the text of the link already fully describes the target (such as the headline of an article);
  • Links are written to make sense out of context;
  • All links within this website are bold to make it obvious wherever possible;
  • All content images used in this site include descriptive ALT attributes wherever possible. Purely decorative graphics include null ALT attributes;
  • This site uses cascading style sheets for visual layout;
  • This site uses only relative font sizes, compatible with the user-specified "text size" option in visual browsers;
  • If your browser or browsing device does not support stylesheets at all, the content of each page is still readable;
